INTERMOT did a lot in the editions of 2010 and 2012. So, the expectations are higher for all from INTERMOT 2014. Yep! This time too the coordinators will meet your expectations  for sure. Because, the guys are planning to focus more on e-bikes, e-scooters, and e-motorcycles, with an entire hall reserved just for these green beauties!

“Our concept of presenting pedelecs and e-bikes on a motorcycle show is not only very good but also contemporary. Electromobility is an alternative means of local transport for many end-users. Pedelecs and e-bikes are a sign for urban mobility,” said Christoph Werner, Senior Vice President of Koelnmesse GmbH.

With over a lakh of visitors, the importance of having a special e-motion hall was inevitable. Providing a dedicated venue for the e-machines, the show helps a lot in the growth of electric motorcycle industry, which is good for environment as well.

But obviously, this auto show is not only to show out the latest pedelecs and e-bikes, e-scooters and e-motorcycles, but also to present the latest trends and developments of two-wheeler world. This season, the Intermot will see a 300-meter indoor course and an 800-meter outdoor track as well!

At the same time, some big giants like KTM 1290 Super Adventure, Kawasaki Ninja H2, 2015 BMW S1000RR and Ducati Scrambler are expected to show their face, and we can’t wait!

Although we haven’t got any confirmation yet, the Super Adventure is expected to come up with the same 1,301cc V-twin engine that powers the 1290 Super Duke R, delivering a peak power at 180 horses and a gorgeous at 144 Nm of torque.

The Ninja H2 is the new prince in the kingdom, and has the potential to dethrone the king! It could be a supercharged machine inspired from three different machines – the Mach IV H2, the 3-cylinder H1, and the Z1 Super Four. It is also rumoured that Kawasaki’s new baby will come out with a 4-stroke, a high-power turbocharged engine. However, there is no clue about the displacement of its heart, at least not a verifiable one.

The Ducati Scrambler has to be one of the most leaked new bike ever! The all new Scrambler’s photos and scoops have been making waves. Unfortunately, the details of the machine are yet to come out as well. Still, it is likely to come up with an 806cc engine which generates a max power of 87 bhp and a max torque 78 Nm, and would possibly become the most affordable Ducati you can get your hands on.

Certainly, the INTERMOT Cologne, which is gonna take place from 1st to 5th of October 2014, will make new waves in the industry! We are excited, are you?
