Giving no stop to any pit, India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd. has launched yet another motorcycle, the 2014 Yamaha Fazer FI Version 2.0 . The bike is tagged at Rs. 83,850 (ex-showroom Delhi). Only few months ago, the Japan subsidiary machinist rolled out the wonder-struck FZ-S FI V2 with a reengineered engine and design.
The all new fuel injected Fazer version comes with some minor changes to ensure a total revive in the appearance. Powered by Yamaha’s all new Blue Core technology, the Fazer V2 arrives with a lesser displaced air-cooled 149cc 4-stroke, SOHC, single-cylinder fuel-injected engine, just what is seen in its naked sibling, the FZ-S FI. Coupled with a 5-speed transmission, the bike delivers a peak power of 13.1 PS @ 8000 rpm and a cool power of 12.8 Nm @ 6000 rpm, which are comparatively down with its predecessor on paper. However, it has resulted in giving back 14% extra mileage than the previous one. On the other hand, the new bike has quicker acceleration as well.
The refashion goes little longer in the case of the Fazer V2. It is seen from the front to the rear. The head lamp has got a slight touch to stay updated in the competition. The graphics got stamped on the machine looks pretty new. It split seat, new chrome tipped exhaust, and sexy LED tail lamp remind us some freaky machine on road.
The machine features the same digital meter console placed on the FZ-S FI comprised of a speedo, a tachometer, an odometer, two trip-meters, and a clock. Carried forward from the FZ-S FI, the motorcycle is comforted by an adjustable Mono-cross rear suspension on the rear and a telescopic stuff on the front. Meanwhile, the tires and brake units play out with no change from its sibling as the Fazer V2 rolls out with a couple of 17 inches alloy wheels along with a 100/60 mm front wheel and a 140/60 mm rear wheel mated with a disc on the front and drum on the rear.
The 2014 Fazer FI is available in three colours – Red Dawn, White Cloud and Black Hawk. However, Yamaha will continue the production of first generation Fazer mated with carburetted at Rs. 78,200, which is almost 6K less than the new stuff.
“We have introduced our new offering Fazer FI Version 2.0 particularly keeping the spirit of touring in mind, combining both fun & economy for the customers to ride free in the open blue sky,” said Mr. Roy Kurian, Vice President – Sales & Marketing, Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt. Ltd.
